Human Performance and Workforce Development hot topics at Homeland Security Forum

The forum was designed to explore the latest available technologies and issues relating to homeland security. The event was held at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida and included speakers from the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, as well as representatives from the private sector and academic and governmental institutions. "It was an honor to partner with Valencia College on this project. "We need to be the best, the very best, at research methodologies protecting our homeland," said Gaby Hawat, Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives & Executive Dean for Economic Development at Valencia College. "We need to develop curriculum to provide training to implement those methodologies which is where Valencia’s strength lies, of course, in partnership with business and industry, such as Harkcon."
